| Only a short time left until we get to meet our new little one...and I must say that with each passing day I am even more ready to get the show on the road! Here are the preggo pics I promised...

Our precious new niece, Ellie Grace, was born on Oct. 6th...what a beautiful baby! Her arrival has made me even more anxious and ready to have our baby. We are so thankful that Karee and Ellie are doing well and that God has provided health and strength for them.
One thing God has been teaching me lately is to "grow where I am planted". Being a mom is absolutely wonderful...but there are those days when frustration and exhaustion threaten to overwhelm me. I am so thankful that God's grace is sufficient for me and that His power is made perfect in my weakness. "Growing where I am planted" means that I can fulfill God's purpose for my life right now...right where I am...in the midst of dirty diapers, stacks of dishes, piles of laundry, endless to-do lists, etc. Since this is where God has planted me, I can grow and flourish with His strength.
This past weekend was very nice. Beautiful, cooler weather and we were able to just enjoy time together and get some stuff done around the house. Here are some pics of AJ helping daddy wash the car. He loved to spray the water...and only got daddy a few times.

This week at church we have a Fall Bible Conference. It makes for a busy week, but it is spiritually refreshing. Our speaker this year is Dr. Richard Allen Farmer....and he is wonderful. Very, very gifted musically and a very personable speaker. I am excited to learn from him throughout the week.
Well, that's about it for this update. Hopefully the next one will be announcing the arrival of our new addition!
Sending love from the Wylie house!

| Greetings to everyone in Xanga World! It's been so long since we've updated....so let me start by saying, "Yes, we are still alive" and "Yes, it is a shame that I can't keep up with this thing." As my sister said in her recent post -- time definitely flies by the older you get.
The most exciting thing going on in our lives right now is awaiting the arrival of our new nephew or niece AND the arrival of our own little blessing! Yes, Karee and I are about to embark on a new adventure together...becoming a mother of two... She has just a couple weeks left to wait, and I am about a week behind her. What an adventure it will be...I just wish we could live closer so all the cousins could hang out together. Maybe one day...
AJ is almost 22 months old and is becoming quite the "little man" in our household. He has energy like no one I've ever seen (gets that from his daddy) and has been keeping me quite busy throughout this pregnancy. He is now moved in to his new bedroom and sleeping in his "big boy bed". The transition actually went quite well and now the nursery is ready for baby #2.
The month of September has literally flown by and Aaron has been VERY busy with church stuff. I think things will begin to slow down during the next couple of weeks...then pick back up when the baby comes.
I was going to post some more pics, but for some reason it is not letting me upload any more right now. (Maybe I've just forgotten how to use xanga...since it's been so long)
Anyways...I'll try again later...and maybe I'll get Aaron to take a couple preggo pics so you can see how big I am getting.
Love from the Wylie Family!

| A long overdue update!
Well, once again, life got rolling too fast and it's been almost two months since we've last updated. Here's a rundown of life at the Wylie house in 2007...
- Aaron had ACL surgery on his left knee on January 24th. This was a result of tearing it while playing football with the youth on the day after Thanksgiving. Surgery went well and his recovery is also going well. He is required to do lots of therapy each day....besides doing various exercises, he also has a machine that moves his leg back and forth to increase movement. He gets a little restless from time to time, but he is doing great. I am enjoying having him around the house.

- We were blessed to have our moms come out to PA to help us the past couple of weeks. I don't know what I would have done without them. They "took over" my responsibilities with AJ (I think I only changed 2 diapers in 2 weeks) and also helped with household chores so I could devote all my time to caring for Aaron and getting him to all of his dr. and phys. therapy appointments. AJ loved having his grandmas around and got pretty attached to them.

 - Winter has finally hit Pennsylvania! Great timing too with my husband out of commission.
I've shoveled twice already....and I've decided that although it's a pretty good workout, I'm glad it's not a regular activity! We woke up to negative temperatures today and discovered that our water pipes had frozen. Once again, I was totally out of my element and had to laugh at the timing of all this. Aaron's the handyman around here...but obviously, he can't do much with crutches! Thank goodness for friends who are willing to help out. We were only without hot water for a couple of hours before we got it up and running again.
- AJ is growing and learning something every day. He truly is a joy and brings so much fun to our home. His favorite words are "dada" and "light". (He can say "mama" but chooses not to
) He loves to talk on the telephone and will promptly say "hewo" whenever he hears one ring. Teething seems to be a never-ending process...he has four (2 on top, 2 on bottom) and is working on a bunch more. Hey, maybe they'll all come through at the same time...wouldn't that be nice! He loves music and pushing buttons. He's quite the little ham at church and loves the attention that everyone gives him. What a guy! We are truly blessed. Playing "superman" with daddy
Well, that's about it folks. Life is good. We are blessed. All praise to God for ALL He has done and continues to do!
Love from the Wylie's
